The Peer Social Model Group is comprised of students who are interested in pursuing a career in education, special education, or related services (speech-language pathology, occupational/physical therapy, psychology, counseling) and are invested in helping fellow students build social and communication skills while playing games and participating in conversation activities during Flex one time per week. This small group atmosphere provides opportunities for all students to build friendships and connections within the SHDHS community. The group volunteered to help run the Cru Cafe in February and is currently helping plan activities to celebrate Autism Awareness month in April. New members are always welcome! Please contact Michele Ryan ([email protected]) if you are interested or would like more information.
