From Our Principal

Dear Prospective Families,

Grant BrannenI’ve developed a strong appreciation for our school’s uniqueness during my time at St. Henry District High School (SHDHS), first as Assistant Principal and now as Principal. One of my first memories at SHDHS is of a student who sat in my office and said, “I feel safe. I can be myself without looking over my back… I love everything about St. Henry”. Wow, what powerful and positive words from a high school student. I love being a part of the Crusader family.

Nearly 90 years ago, St. Henry was established as a small parish high school with a foundation of excellence. In the years since, that foundation has been strengthened by every teacher who has challenged a young mind, every campus minister who has nourished a young soul, every coach who has mentored a young athlete, and every counselor who has encouraged a young leader.

Our school’s five pillars of excellence are the heart of our foundation of excellence: faith, arts, athletics, scholarship, and leadership. It’s truly a privilege to witness our Crusaders’ daily living out our school’s core values of Cru Respect, Cru Grit, and Cru Faith.

Today, I invite you and your family to see why SHDHS was the ONLY high school in Kentucky to be named a 2021 National Blue Ribbon School. We would love to share more about our foundation of excellence, five pillars of success, core values, and all that SHDHS offers during a family tour, a student shadow day, or an Open House event. Thank you for visiting our website, and I look forward to meeting your family soon!
