2020-2021 St. Henry District High School
Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO)

Who are we?

The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a group of dedicated parents who strive to have a positive impact on all of our children’s education while at St. Henry District High School.

What do we do?

The PTO meets three times per year and holds two fundraisers. Our Pampered Chef sale runs through the month of September and our annual Craft Fair is held on the fourth Sunday in October.

Where do the proceeds from our fundraisers go?

Our biggest impact is in the form of teacher grants. Each year, our teachers complete a grant form to request items to enhance their classroom experience. Typically, the grants are for items that are not covered by the school’s budget. The PTO also donates to After Prom, provides gifts for Administrative Assistant day, plans Teacher Appreciation Week, and hosts the Baccalaureate Reception in May.

How can I become involved?

Take a minute to look at the enclosed volunteer form and prayerfully consider becoming involved. The PTO is a great way to meet other parents while becoming involved in the success of your child’s experience while at SHDHS. All are welcome to join us at our first meeting of the year on Tuesday, September 15, at 7:00 PM. Contact any of our board members for more information.

Volunteer Opportunities

  • Contact Information

  • Due to Covid-19, there will be no craft fair this year. Typically there are several volunteer opportunities related to this event. While we are not hosting the craft fair this year – we are in desperate need of someone to take over this position.
Our current chairperson no longer has a child in high school. While it sounds like a daunting task - the craft fair is a very well-oiled machine with several individuals who already run various segments of the show (bakery booth, public relations, volunteer coordinator, etc.). The Craft Fair Chairperson position is mostly clerical. It involves organizing crafter applications, booth assignments, and leading the team of parents who coordinate and run the different segments of the show. Our exiting chairperson will be available for the next year to assist with this transition.
  • Vacancies for the 2021-22 school year

PTO President: Duties include organizing our three meetings each year, assisting Craft Fair Chairperson where needed, and ensuring our other activities stay on schedule (Administrative Assistant Day, Teacher Appreciation week, and Baccalaureate Reception).
Organize Teacher Lunch: This individual orders a catered lunch and helps setup day of delivery.
  • If you have any questions or would like additional information about the volunteer opportunities, email PTO President, Tammy Bilz, [email protected] or call 859-620-5989.
