Ways to Give
The Crusader community is a devoted and passionate group committed to the mission of St. Henry District High School (SHDHS). A mission to “…provide a well-rounded, college-preparatory education that teaches students to live the Catholic faith by embracing the Gospel message of Jesus Christ.”
There are many avenues by which you can lend your time, talent, and treasure to SHDHS…all of which have a real and lasting impact on current and future Crusaders.
Our goal is to help every student that wants to attend SHDHS, regardless of their financial means, make that desire a reality. However, nearly 15% of our students require some level of financial assistance.
One way in which you can make a real difference is by donating to the Crusader Annual Appeal.
All funds raised through our Annual Appeal go directly toward closing the gap between the cost of educating our students and what is charged in tuition and fees (currently $8,050 per student). Over the past few years, SHDHS has experienced a consistent and steady increase in enrollment. This year, we welcomed our largest enrollment in the school’s 83 year history! With this blessing comes an even greater need for your financial support. Every amount given, no matter how small or large, makes a real difference.
Did you know that you may be able to increase your donation with no added cost to you? Many companies offer matching gift programs to encourage employees to contribute to charitable organizations. Some provide matching funds to support employee volunteer hours. Most of these programs match contributions dollar for dollar, and some will even double or triple the amount of your gift!
To find out if your company will match gifts to St. Henry District High School, please click here!
If your company matches, you may be able to access the forms directly through the above search. Follow the set procedure, and the Diocesan matching gift search page will be happy to assist. The impact of your gift may be doubled or possibly tripled! Some companies match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses.
“The Gift that Gives Back“
An SHDHS Memorial Brick is a thoughtful way of paying tribute to the memory of a loved one. Memorial Bricks are also the perfect way to give back while recognizing an upcoming special occasion, such as a birthday, wedding anniversary, or class anniversary.
As you can see, the first two sections of our Memorial Hallway have been filled, while space remains in sections three and four. Won’t you help us “fill the wall” with your donation of $500 or more to this year’s Annual Appeal?
Simply support SHDHS with a donation of $500 or more to the Annual Appeal and a Crusader Memorial Brick acknowledging your donation can be placed in our Crusader Legacy Hallway, located just outside our school gymnasium.
Click the Make a Gift button above. When you enter a donation of $500 or more, a Memorial Brick order form will automatically appear.
Thank you for all you do to support SHDHS!
By endowing a scholarship, you will be supporting the education of future generations at SHDHS while seeing the immediate benefits of your gift and taking an income tax deduction. Once endowed with a minimum $10,000 donation, you, as well as other donors, can add to the fund over time, even through a will or trust.
The higher the endowment, the higher the percentage that will go to students. The goal is to use only interest income, while leaving the principal untouched. Scholarships can be given to just one student or split between two or more.
Donors with a specific objective in mind can have a say in a variety of criteria. Consider what you’d like to accomplish with your scholarship. The most common desire is to help those with a financial need, but perhaps you’d like to also make an impact on students with a specific set of interests. If you prefer, we can help guide you in determining the right objective for your scholarship. Our goal is to match each donor’s desires with our school and community needs.
To make a donation to an existing scholarship, click the Make a Gift button above. To discuss the establishment of a new scholarship, please contact Beckie Middendorf, SHDHS Advancement Director, at email@example.com or 859.525.5848 (ext. 2).

A gift of stock is not only a great way to support SHDHS, but it may also provide you with increased tax savings (the tax aspects of charitable giving can be complex, so it’s a good idea to consult a tax professional about your personal giving strategy).
A gift of stock to SHDHS can be electronically delivered to:
- Shares delivered to: US Bank, NA via The Depository Trust Company
- Participant account number: 2803
- Secondary account number: 001050981220
- For credit to: Diocese of Covington Gift Account
IMPORTANT: In order to ensure that all donations are credited to SHDHS as quickly as possible, donors (or their brokers/agents) are asked to send written notification to the Diocese of Covington, Attn: Dale Henson, 1125 Madison Ave., Covington, KY 41011, firstname.lastname@example.org. The notice should include the following:
- Name, address, and phone number of the donor
- Stock name and number of shares being transferred
- Note indicating that the donation is for St. Henry District High School
Your planned gift, or any major gift made as part of your overall financial and/or estate planning, is focused on St. Henry’s future financial security.
There are two primary types of planned gifts: 1) those that return income or other financial benefits to a donor in return for their contribution and 2) those that are paid out as part of a donor’s estate.
Planned giving is focused on preserving Catholic education for future generations. And while these gifts may not build buildings or increase our annual fund, they can substantially increase our endowment and are, therefore, an excellent method of providing future income to St. Henry District High School.
Planned Giving is 100% focused on OUR SCHOOL’S FUTURE FINANCIAL SECURITY
To discuss your support for St. Henry via a planned gift, please contact Beckie Middendorf, SHDHS Advancement Director, at email@example.com or 859.525.5848 (ext. 2).
Thank you for considering St. Henry District High School in your charitable giving.
