Food Drive to Benefit Be Concerned and Mary Rose Mission
This Friday, May 15, from 8 pm – 10 pm, during Light Up the Night at SHDHS, a group of rising seniors will be collecting food and household items for Be Concerned/United Ministries and Mary Rose Mission in the parking lot. The food drive is in response to the growing need for donations to help families Northern Kentucky.
High-demand food items for Be Concerned/United Ministries include canned fruit, canned vegetables (excluding corn), pasta, beans, canned meats such as tuna and chicken, Chef Boyardee products, and oatmeal/cereals. Other requested items include diapers and baby formula.
Mary Rose Mission is no longer accepting canned goods but would appreciate Kroger, Remke, and GFS gift cards so that they may purchase ingredients for their takeout meals. Cash donations are also accepted.
As you drive through campus on Friday night, students will be on hand to take your donations so you don’t have to leave your car. If you are unable to attend Friday night, but would like to make a donation, collection bins will be available throughout the day on Friday near the main entrance.
Please consider giving in this time of extreme need. Thank you!
