The English summer enhancement program is designed to reinforce students’ skills essential for a successful transition into a high-school-level class. Students will practice critical reading techniques such as close-reading, note taking, and annotating to increase comprehension. Additionally, students will incorporate writing tools to effectively communicate, develop and support ideas in an organized and focused manner.
Dates: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm

PERMISSIONS AND WAIVERS
Guardian hereby gives permission for child to participate in the Saint Henry District High School’s summer camp described above. Guardian understands that this activity will take place within school grounds – including SHDHS’s main campus and athletic complex (SHAC), and that child will be under the supervision of designated school personnel.
In consideration of the advantages of this activity, guardian agrees to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Saint Henry District High School and the Diocese of Covington and their representatives from liability for any accident in which the child may be involved or any injury to the child that may occur in connection with this activity.
If the child has a medical condition that requires health services and/or medications while participating in provided summer activities, the guardian will communicate those needs to the school personnel prior to attending. In the event of an accident or sudden illness, guardian understands that reasonable effort will be made to contact the guardian or emergency contact immediately. However, if not available, guardian authorizes the school personnel to secure emergency medical care.
Guardian recognizes that he/she remains fully responsible for any legal liability resulting from the personal actions of a participating child.
